Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Low Speed Masticating Juicer, Black and Chrome

The Omega J8006 Nutrition Center is a masticating style juicer. Sometimes referred to as a low speed juicer, the Nutrition Center processes at 80rpm, whereas most other juicers process at a speed of 1,650 to 15,000rpm. The low speed protects and maintains healthy enzymes, prevents oxidation and allows juice to be stored up to 72 hours without degradation. The GE Ultem Auger is 8x stronger than most other plastics and the powerful gear reduction is equivalent to a 2HP Motor. The dual stage juice processing system extracts the maximum amount of juice from fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, even wheatgrass! You can also use the nutrition center to turn nuts into nut butters (an all-natural peanut butter), make baby food from natural, fresh ingredients, whip up soy milk, extrude pasta, grind coffee and spices, and mince herbs and garlic. Make delicious and nutritious drinks and snacks that everyone will love. Measuring 7in wide, 15.5in deep and 8.5in tall.Usage of more frozen foods (fruit, ice cream, etc.) than liquids leads to the foods sticking to the sides of blender jars or the mixture becomes stiff (frozen) and will not flow. The juice screen is already installed in the juicerNote:some noise is to be expected. Please set the Juicer on top of a thin towel to help stabilize and mitigate noise.

Product Features

  • Low speed, masticating style juicing system
  • Omega's Nutrition Center does more than just juice. You can turn nuts into nut butters (an all-natural peanut butter), make baby food from natural, fresh ingredients, whip up soy milk, extrude pasta, grind coffee and spices, and mince herbs and garlic.
  • Includes a GE Ultem Auger which is 8x stronger than most other plastics.
  • Powerful gear reduction is equivalent to a 2HP Motor.
  • Juicer processes at 80rpm's. Low speed or masticating style juicer squeezes, instead of grinding, which allows the juice to maintain its pure color, natural taste, vitamins and nutrients.
  • Dual stage juicer. First, juice is extracted by crushing the fruit or vegetable. Then, before the pulp is ejected, the pulp is squeezed during the second pressed stage. This results in a higher yield of juice and a very dry pulp.
  • Extracts the maximum amount of nutrients, vitamins, taste and juice from minimum amounts of fruits, vegetables, leafy greens such as spinach and kale, even wheatgrass.
  • Economical. Since the juicer is so efficient and productive, you'll get the greatest amount of juice from the least amount of produce.
  • The low speed system does not mean a longer time to juice. It means a more efficient juicer. More nutrients and antioxidants, plus better flavored juice and freshness.
  • Engineered for quiet operation and longer life.
  • The low speed system limits froth and foam preventing oxidation.
  • Juice can be stored for up to 72 hours without degradation or the juice separation that occurs with other juicers.
This juicer efficiently juices hard and soft fruits and vegetables without destroying the natural flavor and nutritional benefits.
The food processor attachment chops and minces, providing natural flavor and nutrition from garlic, scallions, red pepper, ginger, and most other foods, including herbs and seasonings. Soft foods for special diets for babies are quick and easy to prepare with the mincing set-up.
Homemade spaghetti, linguini, or breadsticks can be extruded in just minutes with the included pasta nozzles.
Use the homogenizer attachment to make fresh frozen desserts, natural baby food, and nut butters (an all-natural form of peanut butter.)
Wheatgrasses, kale, cabbage, spinach, and pine tree needles are just some of the natural products that can be juiced with the Omega 8006 Nutrition Center. Enjoy the best that nature offers in raw foods of all kinds and juice them for full nutritional benefits.
Grind coffee beans and flour.

Product Description

Why the Breville Control Grip Immersion Blender?

Sometimes, making a simple soup can be hard work. Immersion blenders are supposed to make cooking easier, but they can often create problems instead of solving them: creating splatters, suctioning to the bottom of the bowl, and scratching pots. How can you control the power you need to get the texture you want?

The Breville Control Grip immersion blender has a redesigned blade system to address these problems: a bell-shaped base and internal ribbing break suction for greater control and efficient blending.

This is how the Breville Control Grip stands apart: whatever you need to blend, the Breville Control Grip has got it under control.

New design for excellent performance

The Breville Control Grip’s blade system has internal ribs that create turbulence. This unique system makes sure the food falls onto the blades, reducing suction to the bottom of the pot.

It also gives you precise control over texture, with 15 variable speeds, while the 8 inch immersion depth for large quantities or tall pots means that you can blend directly in the pot for less mess and more convenience. No more transferring soups from the pot to the food processor and back. The powerful 280 watt motor generates circulation, making sure all the ingredients are blended evenly.

These features make the Breville Control Grip excellent for multi-tasking, whether it’s blending, emulsifying, whipping, or pureeing. Use it to make velvety soups, thick mayonnaise, fluffy whipped cream, chunky pesto, dips, and salsa, smoothies, baby food and more.

Get a grip on excellent blending

The Breville Control Grip features an ergonomically optimized handle designed to fit your hand comfortably. Trigger operation keeps your hand in natural position for more stability and control, and its soft touch finish makes sure it’s easy on your hand, even when it’s hard on your food.

Designed with the Consumer in Mind

With all of these features, it’s no wonder that the Breville Control Grip has been rated the best immersion blender by a leading consumer magazine, beating out higher priced models. It’s built with high quality materials: both the blending shaft and the ice-crushing blades are made of stainless steel, ensuring durability. A 6 foot extra-long power cord makes the unit portable and convenient, providing the mobility of a cordless immersion blender but making sure that it is always ready to go when you need it (no charging necessary). The bottom of the blender has a non-scratch base to prevent it from scratching your non-stick pots.

It also comes with a handy whisk attachment for cream, egg whites, or light batters, as well as a blending jug and chopping bowl. The chopping bowl can be stored compactly in the jug for convenience and the lid of the blending jug can be used as a base to prevent slipping while blending. Easy clean parts can be hand washed and most parts (except motor, chopper lid and whisk gear box) can be washed in the dish washer on the top shelf only, making cleanup quick and easy.

Fresh tomato sauce: When less is more - Fredericksburg.com

4 pounds ripe tomatoes (about 14 plum tomatoes). 1 medium yellow onion, chopped. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional). 6 large fresh basil leaves, chopped or shredded. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Fill a large bowl with ice water and have it nearby. Use a paring knife to cut an X across bottom of each tomato. Carefully set tomatoes into boiling water, cook for 60 seconds, then use a slotted spoon to transfer them to ice water. Place tomatoes on a cutting board with a groove to catch juices, then dump out ice water, reserving bowl. Peel off tomato skins, then roughly chop tomatoes, discarding stem and any white core. Transfer chopped tomatoes and any juices on the board to bowl. Return large pot to medium heat. Add oil, onion and garlic and sauté, not allowing garlic and onions to get more than lightly golden, for about 5 minutes, or until soft. Stir in red pepper flakes, if using, and season with salt and pepper. Add tomatoes and all of their juices, then increase heat to high. Bring to a rapid simmer, add sugar, then cook for about 10 minutes, or until tomatoes start to break down. Use a slotted spoon to transfer about half of the tomatoes to a bowl. Continue to simmer the rest of tomato mixture for another 15 minutes until it thickens further and some of the liquid evaporates. Stir reserved tomato mixture back into the pot along with thyme and basil. While tomato sauce finishes cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions. For a chunky sauce, you can simply drain pasta, return it to the pot, and toss with sauce to combine. Alternatively, use an immersion blender to purée sauce as smooth as you’d like right in its pot, or carefully transfer it to a food processor or blender and pulse or purée mixture — in batches if necessary — until it reaches desired consistency. Tomato lovers wait for this moment all year, that moment when the plants in the garden are struggling under the weight of those gorgeous red (or yellow or orange or even green) orbs, and the tables at the farmers markets threaten to buckle under... Amazhing Chef food processor - Global Shop Direct Update 2008.05.14: We tried it last night with avocado smoothies and chopping up some garlic and preserved lemon to make a fish marinade and it passed quite happily. The results was a slightly chunky marinade, probably because there wasn't enough to fill the blades, confirming my theory that good blenders have conical bottoms to cause the contents to collect close to the blade. The Amazing Chef performed quite well with the cauliflower puree that filled the capsule to three quarters full. We even had a few cubes of ice in the avocado smoothie and it managed to crush it all, no choking or sputtering. :) The cups/capsules are polycarbonte, I think. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
