Product Description

IngenuiTEA is a brilliant - arguably the simplest - device for preparing loose tea. Unlike the 'French Press' teapots which crush and bruise the leaves, our teapot's ingenious design uses gravity, not force, to strain the leaves. The result is great taste with less effort. To filter, simply place the ingenuiTEA atop your cup. A valve at the bottom will open, allowing crystal-clear tea to flow, while a mesh filter retains the leaves and sediment. The clean-up is equally as easy as the teapot is dishwasher safe. Made in Taiwan using food-grade plastic. Available in 16 oz. as well as 32 oz. size that's ideal for brewing a pitcher of iced tea. Perfect for foodservice, restaurant and other professional industrial uses. Bulk pricing available through Adagio Wholesale.

Setting the Scene

Living in a cave mostly full of a big pile of comfy gold to sleep on does not make for a very good tea party setting. I also stash in my cave all the tea party trimmings one needs to have a proper tea party (I do so love setting the tables): (1) table clothes of various colors, patterns, and fabrics (2) cloth napkins also of various colors, patterns, and fabrics... There are two rectangular tables and one large round table in the middle of the meadow. One rectangular table is for tea service, where a guest can fill up their cup any time they wish with tea, lemons, sugar, and/or cream. The second rectangular table is for any pastries, sandwiches, candies, nuts, fruits, desserts, and/or any other luncheon or snack food a guest may want to bring to add to the consumables at the tea party. As a general rule, we have tea on Wednesdays at four o'clock every week, and everyone who has an open invitation to the tea parties knows the fact already, and hence, tea party invitations are not distributed before hand (which is probably a good... Another rule we abide by is I make the tea, and each guest brings a plate full of some kind of luncheon or snack type food. I have all kinds of teas in my cave including white, green, oolong, black, herbal, rooibos, mate, blooming, and tea blends. My favorite teas are the ones that include dried fruits in their blends, so there is always at least one teapot devoted to some kind of fruit infused tea. I brew multiple teapots for taste variety, and because I personally like drinking more than one tea at a tea party. There are not usually any banners or streamers decorating the area unless the tea party is celebrating a specific event. We never have any cut flowers or candles because Arnica does not feel that decoration purposes are a good enough reason for the death of a flower, and candles burning in the middle of a forest is just asking for trouble. So, the tea party scene has now been set. Next time I will share the events of one of our tea parties. Source: Lion Adventures

A teapot is a vessel used for steeping tea leaves or an herbal mix in boiling or near-boiling water, and for serving the resulting infusion which is called tea. Dry tea may be available either in tea bags or as loose tea, in which case a tea infuser or tea strainer may be of some assistance, either to hold the leaves as they steep or to catch the leaves inside the teapot when the tea is poured. Teapots usually have an opening with a lid at their top, where the dry tea and hot water are added, a handle for holding by hand and a spout through which the tea is served. Some teapots have a strainer built-in on the inner edge of the spout. A small hole in the lid is necessary for air access inside to stop the spout from dripping and splashing when tea is poured. In modern times, a thermal cover called a tea cosy may be used to enhance the steeping or to prevent the contents of the teapot from cooling too rapidly. Courtesy - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teapot

I haven't had coffee since my surgery, but I miss drinking hot beverages in the morning. Ben surprised me with this infuser teapot, and some herbal loose leaf tea. So good. Also, I sold my micro 4/3 camera and bought back another Canon XSi, along with a 40mm pancake lens. LOVE.
